Guthrie skin hook 6 1/4" 2 blunt prongs 2.5mm spread flat handle

Controlled Skin Handling with a Compact Blunt-Prong Design

The Guthrie skin hook is a hand-held general surgery hook designed to engage and hold skin edges during localized tissue handling. Its two blunt prongs, set at a 2.5 mm spread, provide a compact contact point for controlled positioning, while the flat handle supports a straightforward manual grip. At 6 1/4 inches, the instrument offers useful reach from the operator’s hand to the working tip without adding unnecessary complexity to the setup. This configuration is suited to tasks where clear access and deliberate edge control matter, supporting an organized workflow during skin-related surgical handling.

Use Cases

• Engaging and positioning skin edges during general surgical procedures.
• Supporting localized tissue handling where a blunt two-prong tip is appropriate.
• Maintaining controlled access to the operative area during skin retraction tasks.
• Using the flat handle for direct manual manipulation of the hook.
